State of the Manuscript - 2/19/2025

Welcome to my monthly update on the state of my manuscript for my debut novel, Magic & Murder in the Holler and other projects. This is where I provide general status updates about my work.

Magic & Murder in the Holler is currently with my line & copy editor for feedback and will be in her hands for roughly another month. I'm unsure of when I'll have another update on that project, as I don't want to rush things on that front.

I've written a full first draft of a currently unnamed short story about a supernatural heist. I'm going to let that draft sit for a few weeks before I go back and see if I want to move forward with it.

As I write this post, I'm working on a novella about a magical library and the hijinks that ensue when the normal librarian is away for a few days. It's a nice change of pace from the dark, serious tone of the two stories I've written so far, and I hope it shapes up to be a fun, engaging story when it's ready.
